Davis is unable to fulfill Pedigo's request for a set of bones as none are available at the [University of Virginia anatomical] Hall. Nor can he make a set from the few that Fawcett has as the students have bought him out. He concludes by noting his need for "subjects" and enquires "Is anybody to be hung in Henry, whose corpse I might procure-"
